Hot iron branding is one of the oldest methods used to identify livestock. The technique involves heating a metal brand to a point that it burns the hair leaving a black mark.

At The Iron Rose, we provide hot iron branding as a finishing touch to our cowhide, leather and wood products and further the unique look. Choose between letters and numbers to create your unique brand. Our brands are roughly 1" x 1" in size. The branding is done freehand to the best of our ability, though freehand does come with risks. Branding is not a perfect finish and should not be expected to be precise like laser engraving.

Things to note when ordering custom branding:

* Branding burns the hair and products may arrive with an unpleasant smell, this should go away once left out in the open for a period of time.

* Branding can look less appealing on longer hair hide products

* Branding is not suitable/visible on darker hides (dark brown/black) - we do not recommend branding on these dark hides

* Branding products are NOT eligible for returns

* KEYCHAINS - they are chosen at random, patterns vary and if you would like to specify a style of pattern (lighter, darker, mostly white, etc.) please do so by messaging us directly

* Please allow approx. 5-7 business days for item to be personalized and shipped
